DieticianDieticians (or nutritionists) are professionals who have undertaken a course of training at a university or technical college, from where they have received a Bachelor of Science degree and/or a diploma in dietetics (or nutrition).

They assist the normal medical treatment of many diseases (eg. diabetes, high cholesterol levels, liver disease, gout, heart disease, constipation and diarrhoea). They can also offer advice on diets associated with food allergies, the correct diet for pregnant or breast feeding mothers, the nutrition of babies, and correcting problems of obesity or underweight.
